I'd also like to know where I can find these parts, since it hasn't been too easy so far.... I already got the list from the faq and I plan to start collecting right after I get my N1 Dual in a week or so. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/lookaround.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':look:'>

if you want reliabilty.. NISSAN.. if you want price.. junk yard.. if you want a enough of both.. lots of different places.. you're gonna have to buy stuff from separate places... one piece here, one piece there.. you are not gonna find one place with all the parts with a good price! Although my buddy was telling me how his buddy told him that his buddy told him..... that his buddy told him...................... that buddy told him (about 10 people involved) that pdm-racing.com would be selling all the parts sometime soon! doubt it its true tough!

Do you have a engine and tranny, or just a tranny? I am going to buy an engine and tranny from someone because it will be less of a pain. With the combo, you get the miscellaneous bolts and the clutch, flywheel $$$, probably harness and ecu $$$, and hopefully clutch lines. But those are only $40 from the dealer.
But if you haven't bought the tranny yet, I would really suggest buying the engine and tranny. -Jeff

i did the swap two weeks after i bought my car, I FUCKING HATE AUTOMATICS! unless masturbating in the car is your thing.i got the car for cheap, and the manual for the swap was an unpassable deal with a brand new centerforce stage two clutch. its easy as fuck, until you get to the neutral saftey switch, which you just bend a wire and hook to the plug which tells the computer the car is always in neutral. the best place is canada, but if you dont live nest to the border i would suggest going to a junkyard its cheaper and its pretty hard to get ripped off if you can see what your buying.

Im going to take all the parts from a 240 that my buddy is going to give me after he messed up the car badly.. i think i've mentioned the story... well.. to make a long story short.. he got rearended by a truck.. and now his car is a really a Sports COMPACT! nways.. im taking all the parts for the swap from his car, and swapping into mine.. any parts you recommend to get brand new from the dealer since the ones out his car might give me trouble!?

i did mine to a sohc 90 s13, i dont know what year your doing it to. I recomend replacing the slave cylinder because mine and a friends went out a little after 100,000, try to find a tranny with low miles, also the hydraulic lines from slave cylinder to tranny is a bitch to get out without bending you might want to get a new one or bend it yourself. taking the tranny in and out is a fucking pain so you might want to invest in a new clutch, depends on how many ponies your gonna run thru it. but remember stronger clutches can never retain the true stock feeling and can make driving a bit more difficult. good luck

I converted mine. I let the recycling yard do all the work considering they were giving me a 6 month warrenty on all parts and labor. They finished up in about 4 days and everything ran fine till the end. They did a great job, the install was pretty much flawless.

ni5mo..hold on, the junkyard actually installed it for you? how much did they charge you for parts & labor? also, where was this? CA im sure. i cant find anything in Jersey!! im not sure if i can do this swap myself. for one thing, i dont think i have enough knowledge(im going to get a factory service manual soon though). and secondly, i dont have a garage to work in! i can get just about any hand tools i need(between what tools i own & what my friends have), but no air tools or lift or anything. thats why im trying to find someone who would do it for a reasonable price. *sigh*. i just wanna drive stick already!!

well I did the swap on my 91 hatch . Yes I am in California and if you look in the faq section I give out detailed info on whats involved and all the parts needed . My swap was done in a day . At my friends shop. All I can say is if you want it to go smoothly get all the parts first before you do anything . Also If anyone is in socal and wants a 98 5 speed with low mileage I have one for sale $400
