I was looking at shocks/coilovers and came accross eibach. I was told that they hold up ok, but I was wondering if any of you guys had any experiences with them and how well they perform in the twisties. Thanks,
Mike |

I've heard some bad things about them. Mostly, they are too short and have too low of a rate for most shocks. If you get SL's, you should get short stroke dampers in order to avoid riding on your bumpstops. Personally, I would never consider them.

from what is heard, the prokit is the best buy.
my brother has sportlines in his civic and they feel like they only serve the purpose of lowering the car rather than performance.

Ok thanks. Since those suck I guess, what good high performance shocks/coilovers are best? I really have no clue in the suspension area. Dont tell me to search the web, because every company says that they sell the best <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='

Just to clarify, Sportlines aren't shocks.... they're springs.
I for one like them, although for track racing they could be a bit stiffer. At least my car isn't bouncing like Drifting Ricer's though (kg/mm DR21's).

Or maybe neither, just a mismatch for eachother (kg/mm w/koni adj) I've heard nothing but bad about sportlines except from ace. I'd stay away from them.

i've got sportlines.. they aren't that great if ur lookign for a lot of performance.. but theyr aren't bad either..they ride nice for daily driving and look good, but if you're getting springs for performance.. get something else.. or just save up and buy som enice coilover and damper system
i reccomend teins, or something like that. |

I also had sl on mine and a couple other 240 owners I know have them. Id say its a pretty good set up for the price. Ride doesn't get too harsh and theres a big difference in handling. I dont think you'd run into problems unless something else in your suspensions screwed up.
