HELP! HELP! HELP! my baby wouldnt start

Hey fellas, i really need your help on this one. got a engine swap done 2 weeks ago for my 95 s14 base model but still couldnt take it out for a drive cuz it was missing a MASS AIR FLOW sensor.
ok, so now i finally got the sensor but i had no clue how to wire that shit. so i drove my 240 out to my local mechanic with only the intake and filter. on my way there, about like 13 blocks, i stopped at the red light and suddenly the engine just shut off. i tried starting it again but it wouldnt crank. i tried jumping it but it wrong start or crank. i check the battery, and there was nothing wrong ( the reading was normal). Im not sure if it is the starter problem or maybe the alternor or something else? plz help me out. I just got the engine and there is nothing wrong, no smoke nor burn smell. plzzzzzzzzzzzzz help , i want to get my baby back on the street again. thanks

Geez man without the MAFS, it WILL die like that. Unless something is seriously wrong, your engine might have flooded with fuel. Give it a couple of minutes and it should fire right up. What did you swap your engine with? Secondly just call someone or post your question or better yet search this forum for MAFS wiring pin outs, it ain't rocket science. Good Luck

there should be a plug on the passenger side of the car that fits the MAFS. find that plug, and just cut it and splice in as much new wire as you need to make it reach the mafs. its pretty easy.

well i waited a few minutes but it still wont start. the main thing is that it wont crank.

so if i install the mafs, do you think that might get the car started?

what engine? not sure what might be wrong but put in your mafs first and see if it starts or cranks. If not it might be a wiring issue.

yeah my 300ZX didnt run for crap when I ganked the MAF before I loaded it on the trailer of the guy buying it. is the plug gone? KA-KA it should have the same plug on the harness. Looks like a rectangluar plug and may still have the wire(looks almost like a bent out paper clip) retainer clip on it. Plug it in, couple it to the intake with the clamps and rubber connector and bolt the filter on with the MAF adapter that was included and that should be it. Seriously not hard at all. No wiring included unless the plug got ganked which in case you need to get another.

the mafs does come with a plug but it is missing one wiring that is connected to the plug. total there are suppose to be 4 wires sticking out of the plug but mine only got 3.

Check your starter for power and function, the MAF has nothing to do with your motor turning over.
