Fuel Pump not shutting off

Hello everyone, for the last few weeks, I have noticed at random times when working on the car, that I hear the fuel pump on in the tank of my S13 (KADE swapped into a 90) come on for a few seconds maybe 10 or so, like its priming the system. It doesn't matter if the car was just run, or if it has been sitting for a while. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Any ideas of what it could be? Fixes? Dangers (other than draining the battery)?

Thanks,
mmtmatrix

You could try a new relay. You should be taking the battery cables off when you work on your car anyways. Safety!

Not much help, but I had similar experiences. A couple times a few months ago but hasn't happened since. It would happen right after I shut off the car after a drive. Fuel pump would shut off for a couple seconds then it would kick back on for about 10 seconds, a high pitched whine like it was pushing alot of fuel. I've got a 195 walbro if that helps.

relay.
turning the key on the acc position triggers the relay establishing the connection/power to turn the fuel pump on
