Well I'm without a doubt getting a fiberglass hood but I was thinking of reversing it. Put the hinge in front and hood pins in the back. Anyone seen or done this or *crossing fingers* have a pic of one?

I used to have a "Suicide" hood on my old 82' honda Accord. LOL.

You know what would be even cooler is if you set it up so it opened like a viper, or Corvette hood does. you know how the Fenders and all raise up.

That would be Major points at a show.

That would be pretty slick. . .

Though, I can't imagine how I could poke around my engine if I had some freaking fenders in the way

Iwant to make my door raise up like a LAMBO and my hood to open to one side(ie both hinges on the left) and then have my trunk open the opposite wat(both hinges on the right) I'll never get this done but I I was into the "show" thing and could afford it that is what I would do.

They did a nice job on this with the Maxima in F&F. kinda caught me off guard when they opened the hood at first. I'm assuming it would probably just take some big time fabrication, and a lot of time. Also, you would need to make sure you've got the clearance up front for the front of the hood to open like that...EEk!

You can't have the whole front end raise up. I thought about it and what would normally be the inner wheel wells is part of the chassis and thats what the strut hooks to. So the only way to truly raise the whole front end would be to put an IFS in or have the outer fenders lift but the inners stay which IMO would look gay. I'm thinking of just taking the stock hood and playing with it to see what I can come up with. Since I'm most likely going to throw it away in the end.
