i took off all the studs/bolts except one cause its just spins but doesnt come off but anyways the cover doesnt wanna come off. is there a specific tool or way? THANX and any help would be appreciated .........

jsut remove all the bolts around the valve cover, remove the few hoses you see attatched to the valve cover, remove coil packs, and jsut take it off, its pretty eeasy, jsut take off what you see is attatched or holdign it down, there are no special tools for this

You have to get all the nuts off before you the take the valve cover. Get that last nut off and you can get the valve cover off.
BTW, the head is not the valve cover. The valve cover is bolted to the head and the head is bolted to the block. |

Add pulling pressure to that nut, just a little, so it grabs on the next thread. Remember which bolt that nut went on. Clean the threads on both nut and bolt with tap and die, and a washer when you put it back on. Or get a replacement oem bolt and nut.
But, if you can't get the valve cover off you should have someone else do it. Preferably, someone with a masters in ass-wiping. |
