If anyone has ever taken off their tail lights on an S14, there is a load of black goo that is used to insulate the light from moisture. My question is, is there anything that melts this stuff? Or makes it easier to remove? I'm trying to clean it all off to paint the metal underneath it. &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

you can use a substance called "Goo Gone" or "Goof Off". You can find that at home depot. its supposed to remove all that gunky stuff. Are you switching to 97-98 tailights? &nbsp;if so you dont necessarily need to change the sealant.
