Horrible. You can either get plastigauge, or a micrometer set. I recommend a micrometer set accurate to .0001". Although there are numbers stamped on the crank, double check with a micrometer to see if any wear has occured. With a micrometer, just measure the width of the crank in the rod and main journals. It's easy to get different readings each time, so take your time and measure in the same spots until you keep getting the same number. WIth the number that you get, the FSM tells you which grade or color goes with what numbers. Then, order those bearings for the sr20de. It's kind of hard to explain how, but here's the corresponding pages in the FSM: EM- 63-66. Hope this helped you out.

probably your italian is better than my U.S.A. language... I'm "refreshing" my 100k Km SR20DET and i'm a little bit in difficult... In Italy nissan's dealers are ONLY used with city-cars!!! :hammer: CIAO! |
