KA engine code 45 leaky injector?
does anyone know how the nissan ECU determines that the injector is leaking?
Also, it seems that my car is giving me a code 34. Its the one for the knock sensor. Related in some way to the code 45? btw, checked injectors, not leaking. Thats why im so curious on how the ecu determines that an injector is leaking! |

Im guessing its a DOHC? Did you check the injectors by unbolting the fuel rail and then pressuring it up? Im not sure how the ECU determines leaky injector, but I had that along with an EGR code that I cleared when I found that my stock intake elbow was thrashed and replaced it.

Leaky Injector

I dont kow how the car senses the leak.. i dont know how you checking but a good way is pull the fuel rail (with injectors still sealed in it) out of the motor but leave it compleatly attached to all the lines.. turn your car key to on(but dont start it) as if you were going to check your ecu code.. now watch the injectors as the pressure builds up if fuel constantly leaks from one of the injectors there you go.
when you drive does your car bogg or when at idle do the rpms drop and kill the engine? those are symptoms of leaky/bad injector |
