what makes 1 intercooler better than the other?
I am going to be ordering an intercooler kit for my S14 SR swap and I was wondering what exactly makes 1 intercooler better than the other? For instance what makes a blitz kit better than a no name brand? Core thickness, fin design. I am just debating on which kit to buy and my biggest concern is to not have to cut the metal "crash bar" in order for it to fit. I have searched and found that the HKS Type S kit works since it is only 2.5" thick and I would only need to trim the bumper support.
Now what would make an HKS kit better than Blitz, Greddy, or vise versa? Is the HKS Type S kit a quality piece or can I get better for less $. Input is greatly appreciated as I will be placing an order by the end of the week. |

the only real differences are the dimensions, the pressure drops, endtank designs, and the types of intercoolers like bar and plate or tube and fins
