ok so i got my whole car sanded down and filled. I got some origin fenders and some aero and i dont know how to prep them lol..do i use sandpaper? scotch brite? What grit sandpaper should i use? also does all of the clear crap they put on have to come off our just scuff it up?

sorry for the nub question but im newer to bodywork, thanks

oh and i searched but didnt find much..

wet sand it with 400 grit sandpaper
its enough
ive never had any problems.

yea just wetsand it until the surface is nice and smooth, and so that gel layer isnt shiny anymore so the primer will adhear to it

yeah wetsand 400, then 800 if you even care... 400 should be good, then clean it....

clean it good after you wetsand with like soap and water. then wax and grease remover then right before its sprayed w/ color use a tack cloth to get the dust and dirt off.

I would do sand with 380 grit. Or you can use a red scotch brite scuff pad.
