I got GOW for Christmas and am playing through the campagne mode. I think the game is just OK. Yea the graphics are really good and so is the sound and over-all presentation. However it doesn't reallseem like anything new to me. You hide behind stuff and pop up and shoot. THAT'S supposed to make it next gen?

Anyway I think it's a good game, but if I was reviewing it I'da gave it more of a 8 insted of the 9's a d 10's it got everywhere.

You want my HONEST opinion?

XBOX360 is NOT next gen, the graphics are ok, I was not impressed with GOW what so ever. Sure the game play is fun and a little tactical... But the bump shading was not impressive, it looked like HL2 (graphics from last year). I wasn't even impressed with GRAW's graphics. I had more fun playing it on the PC.

You wanna know what next gen is? Not 360, not wii, its the Playstation 3.

The PS3 has a giant leap between xbox, ps2, gamecube, wii, and even the 360.

But sadly Sony couldn't deliver, with the high price tag and production issues, they are off at a rough start.

If someone spends 400$ on an iPod, why not spend 600$ on a console?

=o welp, we will soon know if the PS3 fails or not, just wanted to point that out.

I'll continue to play Halo 2, that and forza.

i think the wii is next gen with its style control. 360 and ps3 are just enhanced graphic machines with the same style of game type

To me 360 def feels next gen compared to ps2. I made the move to Xbox this year and I'm happy so far..looking forward to Forza 2. I have Rainbow Six & Test Drive which are both cool games..online play works well too. PS3 looks and plays no better..maybe next year. Wii has next gen control. For the money right now Wii>360>PS3

Truth right there. Wii is definatly the best next gen system and it'll be #1 this time around. I recently watched an interview with Hideo about MGS4, apparently he claims it will be a PS3 exclusive & claims it will be released in 2007. What the article says is plausible, since the publisher has a say in what happens, but that doesn't force the studio to convert to the entire game to 360. Who knows, its absolutely possible if PS3 doesn't do well in 07.

I also wanted to ad that Square-Enix is hyping Final Fantasy XIII, and Kingdom Hearts 2. I remember reading an article about all the titles being released in 07, one of which was mentioned by Square-Enix has a "mystery title." Which is pissing me off because you know... they did show a "technical demo" of Final Fantasy 7 on the PS3... They also stated that Advent Children will be on Blu-Ray X_X

But whats bad is all the articles that are being posted up all over the internet questioning the potential of the PS3 and where the 360 is going with there future projects. The 360 has the market base, the PS3 has an overbearing price, the wii is fun.

This sums it up right here. In the last few weeks I've had conversations with people that tell that their grandparents are playing Wii...Their fucking GRANDPARENTS ARE PLAYING VIDEO GAMES! That's

I think Nintendo came back hard...they are the underdog now and underdogs either work really hard or innovate. Whoever's on top gets cocky and overcharges or gets lazy and gives more of the same. That's where Nintendo originally went wrong back in the day and where Sony is headed. Xbox is similar to PS3 but cheaper and king of Live...which is a cool experience on it's own. PS3 has the potential though so it's gonna be a crazy year..I'll be waiting to see how the drama unfolds..

The only way we loose if someone drops out of the console race alltogether like Sega did. Man I wish Sega could comeout with a Dreamcast 2. I <3 Dreamcast.

i bought the 360 elite back in april, and i play it when i have some free time, which is like maybe 3 hours a week.

my games:
GOW: pretty fun scifi combat shooter. 8/10
Rainbow6 Vegas:realistic tactics and weaponry 9.9/10
Lost Planet:this is like starship troopers with small mechs.... 7/10
Dead Rising:repetative.. but how can you go wrong on sensless violence and zombies? 8/10
F.E.A.R.: it was only fun cause of the spooky/creepy kid....other than that.. kinda blah for a shooter. 6/10 (max payne was better)

Im not really into console games but all my friends who have a 360, thats their favorite game, i played it once or twice for a bit. Its pretty fun. Thumbs Up on it
