Wire on my windshield = antenna?

I'm sorry for the stupid question.

96 s14

I'm removing my headliner, and this wire falls down out of it I believe. It's black, cut, and I couldn't find somewhere that it connects to.

The connected end runs across my windshield and runs into a 1"x1" box stuck on the windshield and then goes for about another foot and has a pointed plastic tip like an antena. I have noticed it on my windshield before, obviously not the cut end though. (Digital cameras not working ATM).

So I'm thinking it could be an internal antenna by the previous owner, but the car has a power antenna already.

Basically, if this isn't a common piece on S14s then I'll just remove it, but I wanted to ask everyone first.
If you know about the internal winshield antennas, does this sound like one?

Thanks

I'd agree that it was a part of a now removed Alarm System.

OE keyless antenna is embedded in the rear glass, at the bottom.
