are there kits to paint wheels gun metal grey? i'm thinking of buying wheels from someone but i want to paint my car silver with gunmetal grey wheels. and how is this done

i've heard of powder coating, but it needs to be professionally done, and the do-it-yoself kit arn't very shiny (if there's one) but from what i see, people who paint their rims it isn't shiny

yeah..i would go to a shop that powder coats and have them professionally powder coat the rims.  i've seen alot of 'do it yourself' painted rims and they just dont look nice.

I have painted rims in the past.. Duplicolor makes a paint specifically for wheels that is gun metal in color and it appears to work pretty well. I agree, powdercoating is a better option since it's way more chip resistant. But painting them costs as much as 2 cans of paint so it's a tradeoff I say. The duplicolor wheel paint is quite strong and it looks pretty good. Check out my car with the rims painted gunmetal..
