tranny swap into sr
My poor old sr s13 tranny is almost gone, so i did the research but all topics came up for a kade not a single cam motor.So what i was wondering is how hard is the bell housing swap and has any body done it on zilvia. Pics would be great but i really need advise.

Its a little harder than that but very easy in general .
grab a 240sx chiltons manual or fsm, (USDM) should have a section on tranny rebuilding etc, and will describe how to remove the bell housing for the fs5 trannys.

ah I tried taking apart a tranny one day (ka) Couldt figure out how to remove the bellhousing. My friend told me he just used the whole ka tranny, he told me like 1 of the holes don't match up, but its a alot less stressful than removing the bell housing. I'm not sure how the starter lined up though?

unbolt front cover bolts and remove.
![]() Unbolt center bolts. ![]() Remove bellhousing. ![]() ![]() Reverse using RTV to seal the center and front cover. This takes 2-3 people. 1 controlling the tail section and not alowing the exposed gears to hit the ground.
