Does anyone have pics of the connector that i need to splice into the dohc harness??? im not sure if i hvae the wiring right and i have like a purple, gray and green wire off the connector and two green wires off the harness is this correct?

You didn't even try.

It's a white plug in the SOHC, brown in the DOHC.

orange- start signal
yellow/red- tach
yellow/green- VSS
black- ground
blue/black- water temp
blue/green A/C signal

You're done.

Thanks for the info. i didnt want to finish the wiring because i have no idea what everything looks like... i can leave everything else without a connection? this is the plug that goes under the dash. and the kid i bought the motor from clipped the connector for his SR swap... so i think its the right one. theres gonna be quite a few wires leftover right?

Or trace the disconnected wire to the source and remove the wire completely from the circuit.

ok well i have the engine in and wired but im not getting an spark to the plugs.... i bought a new dohc coil and there appears to be a connector off the dohc harness right near the coil that has no home... what should i do? its cranking but its not getting any spark at all... all grounds have been double checked
