Well i was wondering how fast i will run the 1/4 mile with the s14 sr20det i am hoping it is in the low 13's hi 12's. Hmmm well i am getting on this spring ( oh yeah ). i am sooo happy. but if i can get help i might get the s15 sr20det because i am going to have a C.I.P. course at ford and i might get buddy buddy with them and they might get it cheaper and help install if so it will be the s15. if i get the s15 how fast will i run the 1/4 mile? thx.

stock s14 sr on a '90... low 14's... high 13's based on your skills

as to getting an s15 and finding someone who actually figure out the wiring is a tough one... good luck with that

Considering that the stock mr2 mkII weighs 2600+ lbs and makes only 200fwhp I doubt he'll be running 13's with it. A stock mr2 turbo runs high 14's

keep in mind, mkii is mid engine, little power lost from the engine to the wheels... it should easily put 200whp on the ground

ok you just said firelance that a mr2 is front wheel drive so what you are saying is you know nothing about the mr2.One thing is that is is rear wheel drive hello mid engine ring a bell here.

Hey sr20mofo just so you know a s14 sr20 will run low 13's unless you are a real shity driver and also the s13 with a s14 would be a little quicker cust that car only weights in at like 2600-2700 pounds as well so before you guys start to reply to a subjeck you realy dont know much about dont say nothing.I have proof if you want it that the s14 sr is a low 13 car ask civickilla240style he ran 13.6 at 104 mph.

uh people in case you don't know

FWHP
stands for

FLYWHEEL HORSEPOWER............

sorry the mr2 turbo engine that is U.S. spec only makes 200hp at the flywheel! the jspec turbo 3sge makes up to 260......

and yes i know that the mr2 is a midengine car. But you're not going to go from 200hp at the FLYWHEEL to 200hp at the wheels. There is always some drive train loss.

oh and maybe I didn't make myself clear, FWHP stands for FLYWHEEL HORSEPOWER. Hope i made my point

I apologize by the way for any confusion that I might have caused but all the boards I normally visit refer to fwhp as flywheel horsepower so my bad. I can see how it would be confusing at first. In case at least I know the basic stats of the mr2.

edit: I forgot to mention there is no such thing as a "stock" turbo add on for the U.S. N/A mr2. Why? Because the n/a mr2 uses the 5sf engine which never came turbo'd in the U.S. mr2. You could swap a turbo 3sge or put a new turbo on. But there is not such thing as putting on a stock mr2 turbo on a n/a mr2. Sorry for all the edits, I felt the need to defend myself.

Ahh.. but with what supporting mods?

Do you have exhaust? intake? FMIC? if yes to any of these, then it's not a stock SR.

In japan the S14 Silvia runs low-mid 14's off the show room floor right? so thats what I would call the stock 1/4 mile times.

I still think that damn motor's got cams

Actually now that I think about it again, HKS cams require that you use somekind of cam sproket. The tomei cams don't. But are clearly marked.
MAYBE!! Whoever had the SR before him upped the compresion on his motor. Or he has a clipped turbo. We compared are's and his was significantly bigger. Comparable to the HKS I have at home.

Do you really have that kinda money to do S15 SR20? Pretty expensive buddy. I dont really see why you would want one...do you want to be that special. Thats my opinion. But also I dont think I would feel that great with a 6 speed. Drove a few 6spd trannies but didnt really like. ehhhh but anyways....Whatever floats your boat..go ahead and do.
