How do you remove the windshield and rear windshield wipers? Mine are more silver than they are black and I'd really like to respray them, but I can't figure out how to take them off.

Well, im not sure bout the front, just cause i have never looked at that yet, but when puttin my new hatch on, i figured on how to remove the wiper, at the base there is a piece that flips up, that plate at the base of the wiper, and under there is a bolt, just simply remove that bolt and the wiper should slide right off.

edit: just looked today, and if u just pop the hood there are bolts that hold the front wipers on too.

pm me if that isnt clear

Mine are nice and "half silver" too. I think I am just going to cover the whole car with newspaper and replrey it with black krylon a few times and then add some clear coat.

i resprayed mine almost 2 months ago if i recall but anyway you have to take the bolts off once you lift your hood as natty stated before but if you want them completely off try pushing down (towards the windshield) in the middle of the wipers while pulling up on the part that is directly above the bolt you just unscrewed...hope that helps cuz someone on here told me to do it like that and it worked...

oh take them off with your hood down, not the bolts, the wipers .....hope thats not confusing

make sure to sand them before you paint them.....nothing too hard just enough so the paint will stick

the whole bolt thing is accurate, but the "slide right off" thing is not

i don't know why, but those things are the biggest PITA to get off, here's what i do.

get a BFH and some rust penetrant. spray the bolt and hammer the shit outa the top of it to jar the rust off. just keep doin this till the fucker gives. took me about 30min on my old Z
