Yea I am about to throw on my $425 Hybrid front mount and am looking at my KA stock radiator which has about a million dents in it. Does anyone know of a way to protect my new peice without restricting air flow too much? Anyone do this or is it just a fact of life?

dont get the chicken wire crap. get the black very thin screen. same type that are used STOCK on the evo and srt4. you can hardly see it and still does its job.

btw, i never ran a screen infront of my fmic, and it's the same. minus a few bugs hah.

Hey im just calling it the way I see it. You can put a grill on it but youll still get shiet thru it and nick the fmic. Whats worst with the idea is, umm...how you gonna clean the bug guts on the fmic with the grill on the way? If you daily drive your car, its gonna happen, just no way around it. All you can do is be meticulous with the car. You get a fin dented from a pebble or bug, clean it up and fix the fin right away a small tweezer. Im saying that cuz thats what a friend of mine does (LLOYD, YOU ANAL FUCK).

^^ I agree with fliprayzin you dont really need a screen cause shit will still get through...plus like you said $425 intercooler....its not like its a $1000 ARC or anything, but its your car...

one of my buddies has some white/clear mesh....if that makes sense, looks pretty good as far as mesh goes, Ill see if i can find out where he got it

Couldn't have said it better myself. Those ebay intercoolers are so disposible. Screw it up?? Then drop another 100 and buy another. If you really wanna protect it and still drive the car just put a piece of cardboard in front of it, defeats the purpose, but keeps it nice and pretty

Better yet, if your worried about getting dents on the FMIC, get a bar plated core since they take more abuse than most fmics out there.
