how close is too close? Skyline Calipers

hello, my setup

work vs-xx wheels 18x8.5+25
r33 gts-t front brake calipers and rotors
rotors drilled to 4 lug

everything fits good, BUT the "Nissan" logo on the caliper hits the wheel's spokes. so i used a 3mm wheel spacer. now it fits and spins free.. BUT its SOOO tight. i can get two sheets of paper between the logo and the wheel, THATS it i have never seen it that close before, and i really don't wana shave the logo.

im not going to have a problem will i??

Pictures will come later today.

Why not just do a 5mm spacer, I'd personally love barely any gap but just in case

i wanted to do a 5mm.. but... i was scared of loosing stud length,.. and the wheels now sit very flush.. i might have to roll a little more now.

but has anyone ever run into problems having the wheel spokes and calipers Super close?

ill grind off "some" nissan logo.. but only a little. i like it..

as long as everything is tight the wheel is not supposed to move and hit the caliper. My dad used to have a friend that owned a Euro Tuning shop and almost all the cars they had the calipers were about a credit card distance from the wheel.

I'm running a wider wheel with a lower offset and it sits flush. 18x10 +15mm, OEM fenders rolled and slightly pulled. No crazy camber either.

So if you need more room for the brakes, and you don't want to shave the logo, go with a larger spacer. Go with a 15mm bolt on. Plenty of clearance on the brakes then, and you should still get a way with just a small pull.

you could always dremel the letters away

it's free, no spacer required

by the way
that is not flush
and if you wanted function, why are you running 18x8.5 +25?

You're fine. I've had cars where a business card will slide in between the spoke/caliper and get stuck, neither part is going to flex or expand enough to be an issue.

I wanna laugh.

How much did you spend on 18's that you can't afford better wheels in a 17 or decent spacers?

Don't go running off to 240SXforums or NICO talking about how gay Zilvia is.
