Idle Bounces at Startup then goes away

The car is a 95 240sx with a KA24DE-T setup. Lately when i start the car the idle bounces around 1200 rpm (1500-500-1400-600-1300-700-1200) it never stalls out though, and then after that 5 second ordeal it seems completely fine and wont do it again until you turn off the car and go to restart it. I had a small leak between the turbo manifold and the turbo, could that be causing it? I replaced the o2 sensor and fuel filter with no luck. I pulled the turbo off last night to replace the gaskets so i'll see if that fixes it, but i was wondering if anyone else had any thoughts?

Also would members recommend not using gaskets and just install flange to flange? I have heard of people doing this before, and i was curious as to your thoughts on it.

Yah mine does that too.. Yah I doubt that like leakbetween the manifold and turbo would make a difference. Check for vac leak. Did you recirc the blow off valvle? in the end, raise the idle and that might alleviate the problem and maybe clean the iacv.
