I dont why I never bothered checking it out earlier, but now that I have to(might be getting JWT ECU), where is the ECU located on an 89 S13, and how hard is removal/re-installation? Thanks!

That said, it's in the passenger side kick-panel (the one by the fender, not by the tranny). Unscrew a few screws, turn the ecu 180 degrees (or so...?) and voila. that's where you check for fault codes etc.

'>) should really think about getting some sort of shop manual.  Even if it's a cheap Chiltons/Haynes/etc., it's a valuable tool.

A factory service manual is even better, but harder to get and pricier.
