I dont why I never bothered checking it out earlier, but now that I have to(might be getting JWT ECU), where is the ECU located on an 89 S13, and how hard is removal/re-installation? Thanks!

this HAS to have come up at least a couple of times on the board... the FAQ and SEARCH function and sections do wonders. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sigh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='
![]() That said, it's in the passenger side kick-panel (the one by the fender, not by the tranny). Unscrew a few screws, turn the ecu 180 degrees (or so...?) and voila. that's where you check for fault codes etc.
