personally i like the coupes better, but i want lsd and hicas. is it only the fastbacks with hicas and lsd?? why would nissan do that?

yep, that particular version of the handling package was only available on '91-'93 SE fastbacks.

There's no real mechanical reason for it...  coupe and fastback subframes are interchangeable.  I guess it was just marketing.  The fastback was marketed as the sportier version.  For the same reason, the fastback didn't get the HUD.

Yeah my 92 LE had HICAS . . ABS. . VLSD. .
It was Canadian. =)  

Also, wrong about the hatch being the only one...
The coupe LE had optional HICAS too (In Canada)...

Wish the S14 had it here...

All American-spec S13 240SX SE models had HICAS and the LSD.  

All Canadian-spec S13 240SXs had LSDs, no matter if it was an LE or an SE, and the LE had a HICAS option, standard on the SE (to the best of my knowledge of Canadian 240s)

I'm 100% sure that both of those statements are wrong.  Look again at the links I posted.  Those spec lists are DEFINITE for USA models.  It was an OPTION and ONLY for the SE fastback in '91-'93.

Canada seems to have offered it for the LE as well, go Canada!  But I'm also quite sure that a run of the mill S13 was not LSD equipped.

Actually, this may not  hold true for S13.  But in Canada, SE is base model and LE is same as US spec SE.  

In the US, we definately didn't have HICAS on all models... in fact, it's damn hard to find... I had the only one in town, and so far. . the only one I've ever personally seen.
