s13 Need help in Austin, TX!

So I installed the standard 550cc injectors + T28 turbo + Z32 MAF + rom tune (rom tune from Jason of Emance)

Car starts ok, idles good at 800rpm but when i try to rev it past 2500rpm it bogs and dies..... I'm thinking it's the Z32 MAF or at least that is the first thing i wanna check out but i don't have a spare one to do so.

Anyone around Austin that has a working Z32 MAF that i can swap in to check if it is the MAF?

I'll buy this person lunch

I tried unplugging the mafs and it did the same thing.. idled ok but once i started revving past 2500 rpm it woudl bog and die.

so i replugged in the mafs and started to played around with the SAFC settings... zeroed out everything and had the sensor at 1in 1out at first... same symptoms as above... then after fiddling around tryng 2in 6out as suggested by some of the searches i found, i finally got 3in 6out to work.
Can drive the car, only tried to boosted up till 0.5bar and didn't go past 5k rpm. Car didn't bog while accelerating... still had a problem when i slowed down to a stop the car would stall most of the time....

So now i'm not so sure its the mafs anymore...
I'm stumped at what to try next... suggestions anyone?

Double check your wiring on the mafs. Ground to chassis is needed.

ok so i double checked the wiring, grounded pin #3 onto the chasis and it's basically doing the same thing....

The fact that the car idles decently stable when i unplug the mafs tells me that the rom tune is working since i've installed 550cc injectors (and zeroed out all the SAFC settings) so if the rom tune wasn't working i'd be running too rich and wouldn't be able to idle right?

So my guess is that the mafs' voltage levels are jacked up so that's why if i mess with the in out settings of the SAFC i can get the car to run ok but not reliably? (car mainly stalls on decel)

got another N62 mafs from the junk yard (pulled from a running J30).... still same thing....

If i have the SAFC set to 0in 0out and plug in the mafs, the afl reading shows 8% when the car is not running.... and when i keep this setting and start the car, the car won't idle... so this is saying the rom tune isn't adjusting the voltages for the mafs properly? Theoritcally if my rom tune was working properply i should be able to run with the SAFC zeroed out right?

Okay, I had this same consern when I went to a Z32.

Now, if the ECU is programmed for a Z32 MAF sensor, then you do not need to use the SAFC.

If the ECU is for a stock MAF sensor, then the SAFC needs to be programed for sensor in/out.

Z32 is 2
KA is 6
SR is listed in the owners manual.

On the set-up screen of the SAFC for in/out is:
IN is 2 (Z32)
OUT is 6 (KA*)
* I listed KA because I do not know what engine your are working with.

Now, here is the kicker. Disconnect the battery for the night* (major reset needed to run the SAFC in new configuration)
*You could wait several hours instead.

If all goes right than that sould do it. It should work now.

ImportSeoul: You're in Cove, TX? isn't that near Houston? I live in north Austin

slamdbusa: My car is anSR and the rom tune is supposedly tuned for a Z32. Jason from Emance is gonna send me another pair of rom chips to try out. Hopefully that will fix it..

if not then I'll have to test out the ECU somehow and make sure I didn't mess it up when i was soldering stuff.
