Stock S14 aero + widebody ?

Well I have a kouki with some aero and I love the look but its too hard to not crack driving around in socal. So I was wondering if any of you have pictures of an S14 with stock aero and a widebody since I want to fit some aggressive wheels.

you could probably do those vented front fenders + a pull in back to get a similar looking wheel arch

i'm a little curious as well

widebody with stock aero wouldnt look any where as cool as you probly think it does. in fact it will look like ass, pretty similar to the smaller rivit on flares people rock that look even worse.

your kidding right?

stock kouki s14 body lines. lets see you have a pointed and sharp front end with a round and smooth body. awesome body lines

even origin over fenders wouldn't help it look good. hell go BN sports for that matter it will still look silly as hell.

also whats the point. unless you have the wheels to support the widebody its going to look even sillier since your afraid to get low for fear of "cracking" fiberglass. i can promise there are plenty of people riding lower with aero than what ever this kid is planning to be "impossible" to daily.

Option Zero had it right. at most wide fenders up front and roll/pull the rear with some decent wheels will look the best. hell the fenders are even pointless. you can roll/pull the stockers out to atleast 20mm so you wouldnt notice a difference except for the totally baller vent in it.

ahha alright dude I mean yeah I see people driving impossible low aero too. Guess what ? They all end up cracking it fixing it and painting it again or just buying new aero as a whole . Sorry if I'm not baller enough to go through that process. All I asked for was pictures and you gave me opinions about how the kouki body lines suck haha well ok how about something useful next time.

it was usefull, just not what you wanted to hear. everyone i know thats really low only seems to crack aero at events while driving 40 times harder and while getting way more suspension travel then you ever will daily driving. so take it for what you want. its not an issue of how baller you are or arnt. its common sense, slow down over speed bumps and go the speed limit. learn to watch for potholes etc etc. not to mention good fiberglass is strong and wont crack just from you bottoming out in a drive way.

yeah sucks for the color otherwise it doesnt look half bad. thanks option. Anyways the thing about fiberglass cracking and avoiding potholes. Its not just potholes I have cracked my bumper going extremely slow just accidently going down some driveways. Plus not all fiberglass is strong I've cracked my version select just getting off my driveway and I always drive careful. Plus with California construction its hard to avoid all the potholes and such.

Its because that color has like a plastic feel to it,

If they put an undercoating to it, or some super high gloss Im sure it would look great.

yea man i think you are just a little scared. If you are vigilant of where youre driving (learn to identify angles that will give you trouble) and are very careful youll be able to survive with the aero you choose

Learn to fix fiberglass and have a spare bumper...problem solved...

Or raised the damn thing and pick your fights...youll figure out places youd scrape and what you'd scrape on so avoid them...

That's my car... the Laguna Seca Blue Kouki. It's a love/hate color. Some give me a lot of compliments and others hate it. It was original when I did it(2002) which is why I liked it. I loved the E46 M3 in that color and could never afford it so it was the next best thing. Since then, I have seen a couple clones here and there but oh well.

The car has looked like that since 2002 with exception of the rear windshield lip I recently put on and the Equip 01's which I drooled over since I first saw them on Bomex180's car and finally got the funds to pick up a set before they got discontinued. Front fenders are 20mm Chargespeed and rear is a roll with about an inch pulled out courtesy of GSRACER to accomidate the size and offsets.

Front bumper... I HATE fiberglass and I think the OEM Silvia front looks like a damn overbite. I painted the lip because I prefer the look of a singular color across the whole car. I just drive EXTRA careful not to scrape it. It's been repainted about 3 times but recently I threw on the AutoSuperShield which is a clear 3M bra that covers the first 12 inches of the hood all the way down to the underside of the lip so rock chips, bugs and scrapes are much easier to deal with.

Option: I take it that's your white Kouki in the sig? I also liked the Racing Sparco NTR(In Black) at one point until a friend of mine had them for a week and cracked a spoke. Also, didn't like that they were only offered in 17 inch.

thats funny, because i hate the usdm kouki bumper for its squared edges and excess of holes that make it look puffy cheeked and bullet ridden. Thats' just my opinion (as well as about the color). Personal tastes may vary.

I'm not a huge fan of the NTR's myself, but I needed new 17x9's and I got a good deal. My old wheels, the emotion xd9's didn't clear my brakes, so they had to go.

tracked and driven daily, no problems yet, so i can't complain

looking to replace them soon (i.e. get job, earn money, call Logan)

There was two other reasons behind keeping the OEM front bumper. Back in 2002 used JDM Kouki front bumpers were astronomically high in price since the 240 bug hadn't caught the dealers attention yet. I think Sam had them going for $600 on Jspec.com at the time due to their rarity.

Also, in a world where Americans want to clone everything that is JDM OEM I figured I'd keep it interesting by incorporating hybrid stock aero from both markets. I am not a huge fan of the overabundance of holes the stock bumper has either and when I took the car to get painted I was trying to find a way to get rid of the front plate holder and make it flat to flow with the bumper better since we don't have to run front plates in FL, but the body shop wanted WAY too much to fabricate it. Not to mention trying to avoid bondo.
The design would have been a little nicer without the center piece blocking the air flow to the FMIC but knowing the car would be NA I don't think they cared about that design flaw. That does bring to mind why they left it there on 200sx overseas powered by SR's. But, even they started out with sidemounts so let me just stop there before I go off on another tangent. LOL

Just for sh*ts and giggles, a friend of mine from SFL240SX took one of those S14 diecast models they sell, took it apart, painted it my color, and rigged new wheels that sit flush and gave it to me as a gift. Here's a shot of it sitting on my sunroof.
