Lap times. What are those.lol I agree though, it would be alot easier to have someone else keep your times than yourself. Anyone up for a get together next Wed. Looks like I'll be in the Fairfield area that day and would be no prob to stop somewhere and hang for a while. Let know if anyone is up for it.

Any news on what Tommy said? Id like to put more than just a 5 dollar difference towards gloves or a balacava.

OK, I just got off the phone with Tommy!
He told me that the price on the site is not $175 its gonna be changed to $200 I guess. And our price still Stands at $170 Just put NorCal 240 someplace on the form and he will know to charge you $170. There is NO skidpad at Sears Point! But hey, tires are expensive so think of that as a good thing. And somone get that steven guy from the helmet buy over here so he can get the details.

Okay that makes more sense, because the two-day price is still $375 and half of that would be $187.50.
$30 discount is not bad. That's like a full tank of gas and some lunch. :P |

I just wanna clear that up incase for some reason I cant set aside the money... it seems to be getting tighter and tighter as more and more things are going wrong with my car

okay guys, I'm convinced! I'm back in the game, I've got new hope and confidence. Count me back in, I should be able to pay the track fee by Friday. I was also told to go ahead and purchase tires. everything's cool now, but my helmet is broken tho, the visor won't stay up, seems both pivot ends are cracked. I was just kidding about the "wasting" comment Mike, don't trip

Nice pict mike!
Ok people, we need to find a place to Tech our cars sometime before the Track Day. And since I am not from that area one of you needs to find a place for us! I am going to try and find someplace down here so i can tech before I come up there, i dont feel like driving all the way up just for a 5 min tech job. So look around and post up, You guys could have a Tech day meet or something.

yeah, they do tech at the track, but it is recommended to do it before the event, cause of the amount of people that will be there. I'm afraid all 4 shops that can tech for Speedtrial are down south. To make it speedy I suggest we just check our own cars with this list: http://www.speedtrialusa.com/techformwest.html before the event to prevent any holdups during the real tech.

There aren't any pre-tech locations within 20 miles of anywhere in NorCal, so we can tech at the track for free. Just gotta be sure to get there on time. SpeedTrialUSA.com lists the pre-tech stations and the closest ones are all in SoCal.
I have just registered for December 28. =) The second part of the online registration isn't working so I just sent all the info to them through e-mail. |

I think there are some shops that do tech up there, its just that they are not listed cuz they never do events up there usually. I would try to call around to some places like Bell motorsports, I bet the guy there must know of a place or two.
and SRfastback, you dont need anything else, just common sense! And dont push yourself to hard, your out there to have fun and learn to handle your car. This track can be very dangerous so we will need to keep our heads out of our asses while we drive.

None that I know of. We just had a small meet on November 15. The next one will probably just be at the track, and it isn't expected to be very big either. I'm hoping more people show up though, even if they're not running on the track, to show some NorCal 240SX support. :P Also, anyone can drive their cars on the track during the parade laps, at a 55mph limit (more or less; I'm not sure if it's the same at every track). It would also be nice if someone could bring an ice chest of sodas or water so we don't have to buy the drinks they have at the track, which cost more. |
