short answer: yes you can still use it. search on how to use a hicas sr20 pump on a non hicas car. it involves removing that big bolt on there. I would type it up, but Im sure there is a thread that you can search for which gives you much more detail

Not sure about the SR Hicas pump but if it's the same as the RB hicas pump... You take the ass end off the pump (4 10mm bolts iirc) and remove the little vanes from the rear (hicas) portion of the pump. Then you reassemble everything and block off the 2nd output. This disables the hicas section of the pump so it doesn't generate pressure, and of course the plug stops it from leaking ps fluid everywhere.

ive heard of that on the sr hicas pump by removing the ass end off...i cant just plug up the hole with the same size bolt or it will generate pressure right?....ive heard the dohc ps pump works with the dohc bracket off my ka24de...the only thing is one bolt wont fit

Yes. That's why you take off the ass end and remove the impeller blades so it can't generate pressure on the hicas port. Then you just need to find a way to seal it off; I had mine welded by the alt/rack/pump rebuild shop.

I'm in the middle of doing this right now. I already took the rear off the pump and removed the little square blades, plugged up the 2nd hole, then I tried to connect everything. Turns out one of the larger rubber hoses off the hicas pump is huge compared to the hose on the non hicas reservior. I think unless you use a hicas pump and hicas reservoir you'll find the same problem. I had to go out and find a reducer from one hose size to the other... just something else to look out for.

Yes. Doesn't have to be welded. Just make sure you seal the hole or it will leak. Also as someone mentioned above, you will have to find a hose that is large and then get reduced. I had that problem. Just took a heat dryer gun and then took some hose and use a needle nose the widen it. After a bit of doing so the end will remained widened. I been using my setup like this for about 7 months no problems, thats also with about 12psi of boost.

If you care to have a HICAS reservoir I may still be able to get one.
