I run a 91 dohc 240 ina dirt class here in st.louis.Car kicked major booty last year, but im looking for a little more edge this year to go to a few more shows in the area.
Im changing the  timing set this winter and while i have it apart i want to know if anyone has ever degreed the cams on these motors and if it made a improvment or not.We retard the cam 4 on our big motors in the other classes. Also looking for any timing tricks on these motors.I run the car in scond on the 1/4 mile, but im hitting 7000 goin into the corners,so i have already reworked a few things, pulled the power steering.Lookin to run 3 rd geer next year and just need a little extra out of the corner,to keep the motor alive all the way thru the corners.
