Why is this forum so unfriendly to newbies?

I didn't read the whole thread, but I'll say this to the OP:

My car is nothing special, it's an SR swapped 240 with some decent suspension/handling and performance upgrades, but nothing this forum has not seen 1000 times or more. Do you think I would get different treatment/reaction if I started a whole build thread? The answer is no. It had nothing to do with the fact that it was being posted by a noob. It was just taking up bandwidth with something as common, and about as new as dirt, to this forums majority of members.

Do you understand now?

Also, it's the internet. People need to stop being so e-sensitive.

I wonder sometimes how some people on here deal with real life, with how sensitive they seem to be to words written by a stranger on a computer screen...

Zilvia.net is a business, they are driving away customers by doing this kind of stuff.

A forum is supposed to be alive. This was a very positive and helpful thread and it kept me entertained, there is no reason it should have been closed, I am sad that it was closed, I wanted to give this guy props and ask him questions.

The rule of:
"Please respect others and the community. Not everyone can see eye to eye, although this does not permit you to attack other members. If you have a problem send them an email or PM."

Should be replaced with:
"You are not allowed to post a thread unless the sum of money (in dollars) you spent on the parts to be discussed in the thread + your post count is greater than 15,000. You must expect and accept any harassment by anyone with a post count of greater than 10,000."

This is what the mod said for the last post:

What constitutes "bomb-ass custom work"? Who is the judge of the "bomb-assness" of this "custom work"? Because the thread was filled with custom work (fitting of panels and suspension parts etc.) Just because he bought the car with the motor already swapped, that wasnt the focus. The focus was the body panels and shocks. To me, there was "bomb-ass custom work" done by him.

You guys need to define your rules a little bit more because now im scared that my work wont be "bomb-ass" enough to post on zilvia. I guess I will have to find another 240 forum that will let me post in it.
