broke wires/connector on neutral position switch on accident Which wire goes where?

I accidently ripped the wires off of the neutral position switch on my manual tranny so the connector is seperated from the switch. The wires are the same red color.

there are two terminal thingys that stick out of the switch. How can I tell which one is positive and which one is negative? Does it matter?

Thx

I personally don't think that it would matter as it is an open/close switch...to verify take a multimeter and set for continuity...check for continuity between the sensor prongs and the tranny itself...it should not give u any continunity...if it doesn't...solder them bitches any which way

best of luck

You are correct.

Inverted or not, the switch and circuit will still operate the same. Twist the wires on, drop some solder on for good measure and have at it.
