The stock S14 SE wheels are 16x6.5". You can probably fit a 245/45/16 on there, but I would advise against that. I would run a 225/50/16 on the rim. BTW there is a 16x7" version of this rim, but it comes off an R33 skyline and would probably be bank to get and then you still end up with a stock looking rim. For the car, you can run the stock size 205/55/16, run a larger size of 225/50/16 or stagger the sizes 205/55/16 front and 225/50/16 rear. I have not heard of anybody doing that, but you totally could.

A 245?! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/nervous.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':nervous:'>
WAAAAAY too wide. As wide as you can safely go is a 225 - and that is not optimal b/c the sidewalls will be bowed (b/c it is 20mm wider than what should be on that rim). 215 is a fair compromise - but hard to find that fits well. As for staggering... why? That set up would promote MORE understeer. Unless you've got serious power, it will hurt your performance (and if you have that much power, you need more tire anyway). |
