s13 Driveshaft question

okay so here we go, I've swapped a ca18det into my s13, I test drove the car and I'm getting a vibration from under the shifter area, I used the the stock s13 driveshaft, all I had to do was cut the dust cover on the tranny back to clear the bolts on the driveshaft, anyway do our driveshafts get bolted to the diff in a certain way that I don't know about?

It comes from the factory balanced, there's a paint mark on the rear flange and on the diff to line up, but honestly unless it was way off in the first place you shouldn't be getting to much NVH out of it. Check all the bolts and retighten as needed.

I have had a driveshaft out probably over 10 times in my S13s, i have never even notice that paint mark on some of them, just looked at the one laying on the floor of my shop and saw it..... lol.

but really unless you dont tighten your bolts to factory specs, it shouldnt be your driveshaft unless its damaged. make sure your motor mounts and tranny mounts are tight. even as much as your read subframe and diff. mounts. But if you have solid mounts or spacers, that can make vibrations. I have solid mounts, but do not notice anything except at idle, and that one time when the flywheel bolts backed out
