Heat shield rattle, need decription of the noise

Sorry if it ticks anyone off that I did not contain this in the
"Rattle in the dash"thread because this is semi related, but I needed to grab some attention towards the subject.

Alot of people have posted about having loose / broken
heatshields that are ratteling.... But no one has said where
the noise sounded like it was coming from and what it sounded like.

Has anyone that has had a ratteling heathsheild found that noise seemed to come from the center of the dash,
close to the windshield? Kinda like something fell into the defroster vent and was loosely vibrating when accelerating and decelerating in gear?(my vibration imediatly stops when the clutch is in / or in neutral)

Any insight would be great!

Had that rattle as well, but it did not sound like it was in the dash, it was distincly towards the floor.  If you think that is the problem just take the damn thing off and see, no harm done and only two or so bolts to remove (just don't park in a pile of dry leaves)
