I am decide to get the msd 6al ignition for my KA for now. But one question pop to my head was, will it reuseable for a SR? because i am saving money for a S14 SR in the future(prolly next summer i guess ) I don't want to spend like 300 for the ignition (with the other acessoriares like blaster ss coil, and fuel/tach adapter, etc) and re-sell it for dirty cheap . I want something that can use with KA and SR to save me out of a headache. anyways, any advise counts.

Btw, if the 6al is good to get, which fuel/tach adapter i should get in order for my 95' S14? because they have two different adapter on their site, such as #8920 and 8910(actually is three, the other one is 8910lt something like that)

P.S i did the search but didn't show what i'm looking for. so don't fire me for not searching it first

SR's have distributerless ignition systems. rendering all that msd stuff useless if you try and port it over. You could yank out the DIS of the SR and swap in a distributor from a non turbo SR. I personaly don't think that it's worth it. However there are people who argue that it makes more power.

FYI

SR uses coilpacks totally incompatible system. unless you convert the SR to a distributer setup which requires retuning the ecu and a whole bunch of expensive crap

Since we are on the topic I am running a Jim Wolf tuned US ECU with the distributor on my SR, what would be a good ignition system to use with it if anybody knows.

since you already went that route I've heard lots of good stuff about the MSD and I believe greaser was running that on his while it was in his 96 but dont quote me on that
