Hi,
I tried to set my hotwire sensor type yesterday. I have a s13 blacktop maf, redtop engine and #62ecu. When I changed to 5 in 5 out the car runs the smoothest. But 5in 5out is not for redtop, right?

what's the reason for that?

wiring? does your tps percentage bounce from 1-3% at warm up or idle?

Failing mafs or wiring, your hacking with an afc already so if the mafs is failing your afc will compensate for the voltage changes, but it may function normally at higher voltage and you shouldn't tune like that.

my tps when the car is warm is about 4.65v something if I am not remembering wrong....

and I used the dec air function to keep the car away from stalling. I adjusted the throttle to 1.0 % and ne01 point from 4.0 and lowering it down until the car starts chocking. and adjust back on until the car has smooth idle AFTER A NIGHT OF REST on the car. it does help the stalling issue. but when I start the car after a long rest when the car is complete cold, the idle becomes really rough. Is it normal? What should I do when the car idles really rough, should I adjust the ne01 point up a little or just keep giving it some gas until the idle is smooth? or just leave it idle roughly

If that's right somethings wrong. I don't pull that at WOT.
The TPS should be .45v give or take w\ engine off key on

my bad...actually it is around 0,456 something like that....just went to check today.
but as i said, I adjusted it the dec air function. and it helps keep the car away from stalling, but everytime when I cold start the car ( i mean after a long rest) the idling is really really rough. What should I do?

you may have other issues causing your rough idle situation. Leaky injectors/ injector seals are a safe bet on SR's.

the afc will do that on a cold start. I just turn the decel function off till I get down the road a little. or you could just turn up the ne 1 setting a little.

mine does the same thing. I either have to turn off the dec function or turn up NE01 to idle correctly during cold start. anyone else have the same problem? anyone have any other suggestions or answers

icic....and mine does help to keep the car away from stalling, but still....whenever I put neutral to go to a stop, then the rpm goes down to like 500-600 and goes back up to 800. is it normal? or you guys' safc's just make the rpms stay at 800-900??

nope.. i'd take ur car down to a tuner and have them fine tune the safc... that's wut i did and my car runs prefect without any idle problems..
