Need some wheel recomendations... 17x9.5 front 18x10.5 rear.
Hey guys I really need some help here finding some wheels for my 1990 240sx HB, I'm having a hell of a time finding anything in the sizes I need, 18x10.5 rear 17x9.5 front, (265/35/18's going on the rear, 245/35-40/17's on the front O_o)
Lower weight wheels would be great, not too picky on brand, I'm getting less picky now as none of the ones I liked so far are showing up in the sizes I need. Price range is pretty open right now, what I'll pay depends on how light they are and how good they look to me :P If I can't find any great options I might have to drop to 17x9 front 18x10 rear, I'd rather not if I don't have too though. Post links and or pics if you can! bonus points for showing them on a 240 in any size <3 And yes I'm checking out other similar threads but my problem like I said is finding solutions for the size I want |

As for offset... oops. I don't know.. probably should look into that. By the way I'm game for 4 lug or 5 lug wheels, |

I'm a big fan of how the volk spokes curl back into the wheel at the ends, but those XT7's do look pretty nice. I also kinda liked the yoko super advan 2's or what ever they're called, but those are really pricey >.>
I like the rpf1.. but they just remind me too much of the M12 motegi's that are on the car right now. ![]() Edit: lol @ wheelgap (thats an olllllddd picture) |

I doubt he would want to pay whatever those TE's are going for.

Yeah I'm not feeling the green haha. I _DO_ like the concave look, but I'm open minded (like I said the XT7's do look really good) volks are gonna be up there with those yoko's right? 600-700 each?
It's not that I'm unwilling to pay that much, but honestly I would like to stay more around the 300-500 range if possible, Money I can save on the wheels gets put right back into the car for better performance ![]() |

wheels are a performance item. Lighter wheels = less unsprung weight. If you want light wheels DON'T get the xt7's. I had them and sold them in favor of some RPF1's. They were around 27 lbs each in 18x9.5 +12

Yeah, that might have came out wrong, I understand the value of reducing unsprung weight, I will be throughly considering weight when determining how much I'll pay. As for offset, the more I can fit inside the car the better, but yeah I know they're gonna be out there.

I'm with this dude, you're already in the red. Research more then ask again at a later time when you are more educated on wheel sizing. ALL the answers to your ?'s can be found in the wheel whore thread.

So wait, you want a 17 or 18jx 9/10j size rim with low offset, and your only willing to pay up to $500?!?! Hope that means PER RIM not for a fucking set...

Whoa whoa whoa, I ment 300-500 per wheel not total, Lol.
Didn't mean to offend any one with the questions, this thread so far has provided me with a lot of very useful info I really appreciate the help received so far! :3 As for the tires... GS-D3's in those sizes are going to be around 220-270$ each, I'll almost certainly go with them since they've been so good to me so far. EDIT: Regarding offset, looks like I'll need to stay under +20 to clear on the inside, so nothing over +20, 0 offset might not be a bad idea, I'm not locked in to an offset outside of that requirement though. |

I only said I'd like to stay under 500, I'm still considering the yoko's which I hate looking at alone, but when I actually see them on a 240 they look much better, and those are going to be 600-700 each. Those are on the lighter side if I remember correctly.

Oh no here comes azndoc.
If that's your budget then get some 57max. Their a good price usually run you about $1500 a set depending on color. Perfect size would be 17x9 +12 and 18x9.5+12. Roll in the front almost max camber. Roll and baby pull (depending on how much camber you have in the rear) There I wasn't a dick about it. |

Well what size tires are you planning on running and whats your plan as far as the body. Were not gonna tell you 10j 0mm offset if you want to run 275s in the rear with no over fenders. Again, look into the wheel whore thread, stretch tire thread and the max rubber thread, take your time and make a decision then.
