After months of searching, I finally got my 97-98 sideskirts yesterday! I'm going to respray them and fix all of the blemishes before I install them. I'm just wondering if they bolt right on to my 95, or if I have to make any modifications. I searched on this and all I got was F/S and WTB's.

All you have to do is to drill some pilot holes in the underside of your car where they bolt up. Also use some 2 sided tape across the top edge. Then your set. I installed mine in 30 min. outside my apt. with hardly any tools.

Sounds easy enough, what kind of screws did you use to bolt it to the car.

The guy I bought them from included all the hardware for install but they were just small self-tapping screws. Get something that won't rust and you'll be fine.

what's up guys, just got my 97-98 sideskirts yesterday and am ready to put them on my 95. Just wondering if you painted yours yet and about how much it should cost. Also, I was suprised it's just plastic, do you still have to get em sanded or anything or can you just spray the new color over the old?

You need to prepare them(sand, primer, paint) or else the paint won't stick. I think I paid around 200 to get mine painted but, that's because I was lazy and didn't want to do it myself.

This weekend I'm finally going to sand them down. They are black and so is my car, therefore I'm not going to bother priming them. I'm going to use 3M 400 grit sand paper to strip the old paint off, then bondo the mishaps, then finish the job with some 3M 1000 grit. I'm going to finally be able to paint and install them in two weeks when I'm home from school. I'll be sure to post some pictures. I might possibly make an FAQ too, since a lot of people are starting to do this.

you still need to prime them, espeically if you are going to paint them.

I didn't prime my car. I sanded the whole thing and had it resprayed. I think the only time you have to prime it is if you are changing the color.

I got my side skirts for $200 and painted for $60.

I plan on installing them later on....when it gets warm. I took off the rivets and I will drill holes thru the bottom to secure the screw and use double sided tape for the sides.

It's not like I stripped the paint and painted the bare metal. I just sanded the old paint off and painted it. My dad told me it would be easier than priming the whole thing. He knows what he's talking about, he used to paint cars all of the time when he owned a body shop.
