weird plugs

what plugs into these? (plug next to passenger fuse box--sorry for the blurry pic, camera needed a charge)

and this plug has wires connecting to itself (plug under the passenger fuse box):

my car is an ka24de auto to 5spd. im trying to get my reverse light working but im not sure if these needed to be plugged in by some other connector and spliced for the light to work.

PS. this is how my tranny looks like:
(its missing the reverse lamp plug..)

Firs one is the automatic transmission harness.

The reverse switch may be damaged, but you can swap it with either the neutral, 4th gear, or 5th gear switches. They all do the same thing.

will this make my reverse light work when in reverse? (if so, how because ive only seen/read write up that uses the reverse lamp switch). also do i need to plug the the other connector next to the reverse lamp into something?
