Origin Lab quality and fitment

Looking at the Origin Lab Stylish kit for my Sileighty conversion. I was curious if anyone who ACTUALLY HAS THE KITS, how is the fitment and quality?

Thanks for any information

ORIGIN fits really good imo

not as good as my BN
not as shitty as my old AIT kit

not as good as VERTEX

but not as bad as AIT and shit

its probably like a 7-8 on fitment out of 10

bn and vertex are like 9.5 to 10 of 10

id say origin fits realy good not PERFECT but really good. minimal wrk required

^^^^^^ i agree with aaron, the only issue with my VERTEX kit was the fenders for some weird reason the passenger side corner light didn't line up so i had to drill new mounting holes in the headlight it was off by a few mm's other than that the kit already had pre-drilled holes and all of them lined up perfectly granted your car was never in an accident etc.... but origin is a pretty good brand imo thats the same kit we are putting on my bros car.

This man knows! Origin is pretty good. Minimal work.

My W9 replica. LOL. Oh god. Fitting it right now. Such terrible molding. It's gonna be ok, but nothing like Origin on my bros R32. Can't wait till it explodes.

I have the Origin Stream kit on my sileighty and fitment is just about perfect. Will be getting the 30mm over fenders for the rear, hopefully those fit just as good as the kit.

Here are a few pics.

Yeah like my bro said my origin kit for my skyline was almost flawlesss!!! All i had to do was drill holes and cut around my intercooler but most stuff bolted up perfect...Other than the skirts rub on the doors a little and sometimes i gotta slam my doors soo its taking the paint off but if its not a show car then who gives a shit

i'm rockin the s14.5 fenders and they fit like shit. i also have the rear overs which were ok and a version select kit wich fit good.

fyi for those who don't know or havn't figured it out VS and origin are the same company. their products are made and shipped from the same place.

Ive had alot of Origin shit over the years.
Side skirts, rear bumper, roof wing, 3pc rear wing.
ALL of it has fit fucking almost perfect. Ive seen some ill fitting shit.
Ive personally never had to sand, bondo, fill, grind, dremel any of their products to put it on. Just paint and attach.

its thin as JDM kits usually are.. not as forgiving as other stuff.. cheap ebay stuff seems to be thicker.. but you can imidiately tell the quality when you pick it up.. very nice and light weight.

I scored my origin kit from touge factory on ebay for $96 plus shiiping.. it originally had damage from being shipped from japan, hence you can see the repair areas *sideskirts completely broken in half etc* .. rx7 people dont really buy aero or are too cheap to even try things i think.

i currently have a AIT gp sports knock off kit right now on the car.. its held up good and its a thicker more flexible fiberglass..

I usually rub holes into the front of the bumpers where they typically rub against the ground going up and down driveways.. thicker fiberglass stuff tends to hold up better.. so I layed a few layers of extra fiberglass to the origin.. Havent driven on it yet.. no reason to make the car 2 tone when it looks ok right now.

holy hell - dmax fitment is 9.5/10!

origins latest few batches here in australia have caused some problems for people... poor fitment

but end of the day - comes down to how bent your car is lol

i cant really judge fitment on my kit because i think its a lil warped on teh sideskirts, but its probably due to the repairs that i had to do to em since again like i stated, shit was broke lol

In all seriousness I think this plays a bigger role than some people realize.

Not to mention, BN and DMax aren't really in the same price range as Origin.

Hard to compare, really.

I beat the shit out of my car last season. Sway bar had less than an inch of clearance from the ground. I ripped the sides and rear off HUNDREDS of times.
Ran that shit over, drifted with it dragging behind me, under me, over me, whatever. At the end of the day i could just ziptie it right back on for the most part.

I have never complained about my ORIGIN parts.

usually just drill a hole here and there and ziptie it on.

Never actually done any work to them... to get them to fit.

On my s13 coupe rear bumper, I had to trim a smidge to get it to wrap around the back. The front fit perfect first time. Never had origin sides. Overall, I've been very pleased with the fitment.

Yeah. my fenders were a little tweaked too... but not too bad. Kit fit real well tho.

Took some heating to straighten things out... plus epoxying some aluminum bars in. Nice end product tho.
