Just installed the dump pipe.  First of all, PDM was excellent in responding to my order and getting me the products I ordered on time.  Before I install my GReddy exhaust (which is taking FOREVER to get here), I decided to install the dump pipe to see what kind of gains I could get on the stock exhaust.  I also wanted to see how loud it would get.  As far as sound goes, I could hardly tell the difference.  There is SLIGHTLY more exhaust noise, but it still sounds like a stock exhaust.  As far as power gains, the butt dyno feels like I gained a few horses (4-5), but not the claimed 8 hp.  But, for only $90, it is worth it.  I am sure the gains (and noise for that matter) will be greater with the GReddy exhaust.  Notwithstanding the legality of having one, I would recommend buying it.
