![]() I have been looking at Koguchi's 180SX for a month.(If you don't know who he is, he's a very well known Drifter in Japan) I was wondering, if you know who he is or his car, if you could tell me what kind of kit hes got(I think its a G-Grow kit)(G-Grow is very rare) To see what the kit looks like go to http://www.takakaira.com/aerokits/ae...menu.asp?cat=4 Click on NISSAN at the top left then scroll down to G-Grow on the left and click 180sx/Silvia S13? Right know I have a Do-luck kit Its hot but I saw a guy around town with it and I need a new one so I'm thinking about purchasing this one.
Thanks |

Koguchi's is a Ikeya Formula kit. Ikeya made a copy of his front bumper (that he custom built/designed) so that when he ruins them, he's got more (obvioulsy) and doesn't have to go custom make them again. Anyway search around for Ikeya's webpage, i had it at one point...
Oh wait! Which 180 are you talking about? Specify green, black, red, or purple? (he actually has more) That would help. The one I am talking about is his green one. i know most of his other ones: the red and purple ones are stock Kouki optional aero kits. The red one has different sideskirts and rear, along with wide front and rear fenders. the purple one has vented front fenders. |

yes, kouki 180sx style
MANY body kits in japan copy/similiar to that style, its nothing new. pick up a mag and be amazed koguchi needed the extra airflow. TMIC!! and that RSmax racing hood is SWEET. he needs it. TMIC!! |

240s15--If you get my bodykit I will cut you fool! nah, j/k. On a serious note, like Dousansaid, I dont have the rear valence. Why? kit is pretty expensive. Well when I ordered it, it wasn't that bad (imo) but now that www.autoimaging.com is going to carry G-Grow kits (look almost identical) adn the GP-Sports GSonic Type R/Type 2 kits are hella inexpensive, thats what I would have/should have gotten... oh well. I love that hotroad kit, especially the way it looks in TV2! Mmmmm. Newsflash! i just checked www.hotroad.co.jp and it is down. it has been down for about 2 months. Thats how SKRPerformance got my kit, by going through the website. Hmm. Other kits that looks nearly identical: G-Grow Type I and II. Dousan: Damn I need to get my car done! And painted! Too bad I am so far away from it. Grrrrr. By the middle of May, it will be/should be done! I hope this doesn't turn out like the GTR rims. I got them for the project RPS13 back in the day, about a year ago, and since then Mike, Benson, Hypercarrots, etc all rocked them. i feel like now that people are FINALLY going to see my car, they'll think I saw all THEIR cars and started posing. ![]() ![]() |

the bumper is NOT available for sale
its custom made ikeya formula please dont buy it. you need EVERYTHING for it to be useful koguchi uses a TMIC setup and a relocated engine. youneed the whole kit ot make it fit anyways, its custom and h's broken it so much who knows how many times its been replaced/repaired. pristine body kits are for posers now body kits w/ some damage, i respect that show cars who track their cars i respect |

that's probably about 6-10K of just body work and wheels (mostly wheels)
and you have to understand, koguchi's car is how it is for a reason NOT FOR POSING its a drift car. its crashes, it has problems, its breaks down. the wheels body are stylish and on their for the prime purpose of drifting and wieght and airflow Last edited by Dousan_PG; 02-23-2003 at 09:09 PM.. |

yeah I would say 10k is a LITTLE high, but 6k is more reasonable... think about this you guys: bodykit~$2000+, wide fenders, ~$600 or more for fronts and rolled fenders, wheels~2500. plus shipping. you have your $6k easy. Then you have paint. Umm.. $2k for a decent job and more for a koguchi-quality job. So actually, $10k isn't OUTRAGEOUS price.
Anyway, if you got that kind of money... ![]() btw, nice PS job, but I can tell its PS, if you even care... ![]() |

Oh, and the reason I can tell its PS is the reflections off of a dark colored car like that would not be like you have them. Dark cars are hard as chit to get right, cause they reflect EVERY color, when you look at a black car, the black is not really just black.

yeah it isnt technically a TMIC, as a TMIC would be above the engine ala WRX. its more of an angled recessed FMIC, as it is still in front and draws air from the front, and not a hood scoop.
