HHO Gas Conversion anyone?

Hello recently I stumbled upon, in another forum about creating your own HHO (brown gas)...has anyone tried it with their Nissan or other vehicle? They say it can increase your Gas Mileage and better engine performance also a website saying something about.....if installed into the intake manifold it boosts up octane more.... and save alot of money in gas...I am tired of paying high pump gas in San Francisco, CA lol

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxyhydrogen

I think he is taking about this stuff. Sounds interesting but there is a catch with hydrogen that keeps it from making it mainstream. It takes a shit load of energy to break the bond of the hydrogen and oxygen in water. Yes combining the two in an engine is efficient and gives you water vapor but getting the hydrogen separate is quite the challenge.

I've been doing some research on this subject for a little while and the process is quite in depth to get the car properly running. I would start by reading Stan Meyer's paper on the subject. Link

you guys realize with a powerFC and bigger injectors you can easily run E85 in your 240s??

ive been running it for a few weeks now...kick ass fuel...tunes way better than 100 octane

the shop i work with here in town has been running it in TONS of their cars for years now (the majority of them are drag cars...one of them is a 9 second DSM)...weve had not one problem with it...only thing that you have to do is switch over to full synthetic oil (ethanol will wear out normal oil very quickly)

I was trying for some time to get a 2.5L Turbo Diesel from a AU/UK Pathfinder. 247ft/lbs. 187hp. Couldn't find an importer.

That would pwn. I'd be down for a group buy on that if you did ever find one.

I swear I would entertain this if the closest station with E85 weren't 40 minutes away from me.

Dude, I don't even know how far the nearest one is, if it isn't more than 2-3 hours away.

And HHO isn't a scam. Its a far fetched idea with a lot of potential, but not a scam.

Now, I didn't click any of the other links, but some 'companies' are making ridiculous claims and charging way too much for stuff that doesn't even work worth a damn.

Its best left to people who have a lot of time to perfect their designs.

What about CNG? It's only $.67 a gallon out here. My friend has a KA24ET that's also CNG. I'll post some pictures when I get my camera back.

is there a write up for this??? can you post pics and what power increases/decreases you get, and mpg??? if the CNG thing is too complex for me I'd like to try it. there's a few E85 stations near me.

Natural gas is waaaaay less potent than gasoline, or even diesel. It might be $.70/gallon, but if you need 5 times as much to make the same amount of power, and can only carry 10 gallons, it's just a hassle.

I'm not calling BS...but I'd like you to prove it. I'd like to see it done and how hard or easy it can be done by your average person.

The average person wouldn't be able to fill their own CNG. Takes about 15mins to fill. All the idiots that have gasoline fires. Imagine that with a invisible gas.

It's a good option for fleets but I don't see joe idiot using it.

"CNG vehicles have lower fuel efficiency than hybrid vehicles. A Civic GX, for example, averages 32 mpg, while a Civic Hybrid is rated at 50 mpg. So while a GGE of CNG is cheaper, the Civic GX needs more fuel to operate, and therefore costs per mile are actually higher."
