well started project "get jed's car outa winter mode" today.

finished everything up and proceded to put on my new wheels, BUT turns out the fronts won't clear coilovers (already knew that) and the wheel studs aren't long enough.. Fook!!

Question. Where is the best place to buy longer wheel studs? I'd really like to NOT get the nismo one's as there pretty expensive from what I remember.

I'd love to just get a set of wheel adapters but the wheels are already flush with my fenders and wheel adapters would just push em out more.

So as of now it looks like longer wheel studs are my only option.

Now, how exactly do you stick those suckers on? I suspect you have to take off brake, rotor. then do you just hammer the old one's out and stick the new ones in? is it that simple?

basically yeah. i had to swap out one of my wheel studs a couple days ago and thats what i did. just make sure the new one is seated properly before taking it out to drive.

You can get them from ARP, but they have a different thread pitch which requires new lugnuts.

Check with Don Nimi at PDM......he has been carrying the longer studs for as long as i have deal with him....

GET ARP! period..... they know their fasteners. your life is riding on those studs....choose wisely...

how much do they go for?
he only needs the front set so he only needs 10 studs....also do they supply the special lug nuts?

Something tells me your wheels are NOT flush with your fenders if the offset is not low enough to clear coilovers...

Just my thinking but wouldn't it be better to go ahead and do them all if the thread is going to be different?

I can see mixing up lugs from front to rear when he swaps tires.

eh? sorry I forgot, I musta been smoking crack when I mounted them yesterday. jeez I need to stop doing that, especially when working on cars.

FYI They are very wide rims. Super sexy also!

The offset from what I saw was perfect for a s14 it's just the rims are wide as hell

they don't really take "special" lugnuts...just different. can't remember the pitch but they are gm/honda variety..and if it's S14 they only fit the rear because the front have a larger diameter shoulder..notsure about the S13. if you want to keep the same lugnuts look into the H&R studs. but you may only be able to get them with their spacers.

I am using ARP studs for a Camaro. Fit fine and use Honda thread pitch Lug nuts..
