I have been having a lot of problems getting my sr to start. With the help of others on Zilvia we have basically eliminated everything but the Power fc we are running. I have a friend who is going to let me run his stock redtop ecu to see if the car will start. I currently have a q45 ignitor and z32 maf wired in. For the purpose of starting the car only will this work with the stock redtop ecu? I know I can't drive like this but I don't want to rewire everything until I am sure the ecu will work. Thanks,

you can start the car without the maf, therefore there shouldn't be a problem here.

mj is correct. the car will start and idle fine without the maf plugged in. it will not rev passed 3k but it'll start and run if everything else is correct.

I had the most awkward thing happen when I first tried to start mine, it kept turning over but wouldnt start, I had to give it a little gas and then it fired up, For some reason I want to say I had to chhange my plugs out and that fixed the problem but I dont see how that and the plugs were related to cause the problem, but anyway, just a thought, I was in the same position, checked EVERYTHING, BTW I have since never adjusted the idle, so its not like the idle was adjusted wrong, but then again I dont have a power fc so that opens a whole nother bag of worms.
