Have ?'s about engine swaps

I own a civic right now, and I am going to buy a 240sx as soon as i can. I am prolly going to get a 1991, I am a COMPLETE newibe when it comes to anything but a civic, so please help me out. I was wondering which engines are the best to swap in, and the average problems people have when swapping certain engines. I am planning I boosting like crazy if that helps anyone chose what engine i should swap. I am lookng to spend around $3000 on an engine, used ofcourse. Thankyou for your help.

If I were you I would put that $3000 into the civic. You would have a much faster car. Do a search on google, there is lots of info on the 240sx on the internet.

well, the most common and esiest (even most logical) is the sr20det engine swap. its a 2L DOHC Turbo motor that drops right in with only minor problems such as some hoses (re-routing) and ectending some wires. dont need new motor mounts!!! (unless you got a motor with lots of miles) the motor produces 205hp and 203 torque at 7 psi!!! so there's lots of room to grow to get more hp. check out www.srswap.com for looking at parts n prices.... you can even email the guys for help or qestions. happy huntin'

Thx

Thx for the help, and yes i know if i put that $3000 into my civic i would be faster. But civics will always be front driven, and i want a rear driven car. Bc they are much more fun, and the movie the fast and the F#$3, gave me no choice but to sell my car. Now everyone and thier friend is buying civics and riceing them out like crazy, and i can't stand it, mine is not at all, but i still need to get rid of it.
