![]() Hey guys, i need to get my dash off. But dont want to hurt it trying too hard. It seems i have unbolted all the screws, but it still wont come off.
I was wondering whats going on next to the windshield... like under that long thin vent. Is there something under there that will get it lose? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yep. Drop steering column. Two bolts underneath holding it in. You might have to remove the plastic steering column covers. I can't remember. As for the vents, you need to carefully pry them off with a screwdriver (the plastic is old and VERY brittle). They are held in place with little plastic tabs. Underneath, you will find 4 or so bolts holding the top of the dash in place.

You'll need to disconnect the AC tubing on the sides, and the wire that powers the glove box light. Also, under those 2 slim vents there are 2 bolts you'll need to undo. I just swapped out my brown dash for a black one 2 weeks ago. Its a pain to lift the dash over the steering wheel, so have someone help you....in and out. Good luck.
