Best Tires For Drifting

Not the specs, just the type of tire. I know Kumho 711s are alright for drifting, thats what i use, but what are some others that you use?

And what one should you stay away from?

Note: Did a search a bit ago and all i found was Drift Tire SIZE and Drift Tire WIDTH no Type

sigh...these threads suck
imho these are MY OPINION/EXPIRIENCE

if you are learning/moderately fast/pretty fast:
crap tires do the trick
just dont get SUPER sticky fronts or it wont be 'balanced'.

if you are faster:
stickier (not stickiest) will help a lot on control

if you are pro:
semislicks or very high end sticky/racing tires.

brands: see what works best for you. everyone is different. depends if you do track drifting or street drifting

Hey man is that you in the avatar? Other than that, I'll just add what I've heard. Since drifting is about grip and control, and falken Azenis are the best bang for your buck grip tire, they might work well.

I think that's Tiff Needel in his avatar.
I also think this thread is better suited for tech talk.

my friends use all of the above (except neovas) depending on:
skill
power
speed

so it varies.
everyone is differnt
best is to buy tires and try it out and see how you respond w/ it.
drifting is an expensive hobby, unless your sponsored

i've heard so many different things about fm901's... from them being a great drift tire, to a bad autox tire, to my opinion that they're a good autox tire.....

then again, the only tires i can compare them to are my old Ecsta Supras.

FM901's in the rear are good, but I think there are better tires out there if I had more $$$. From my experience and limited skill level, the following are my reviews of different combinations:
Azenis front, FM901 rear: Great
ES100 front, FM901 rear: Good
ES100 front, Azenis rear: Sux
Azenis front, ES100 rear: OK
Azenis front, Kumho 712 rear: OK, but Kumho's chunk too much

Other tires that I am waiting/hoping to try:
S03's
Neova(if I can get a hold of them, which I probably can)
Kumho MX(some dude on tirerack gave it a review on autoX, saying it's better than Azenis)
Azenis ST115(alot of ppl are using them now)

Those are about all I can think of now. So far, I like the Azenis front and FM901 rear the best. However, these tires wear really fast... really really fast... My wallet has a really really hard time keeping up.
