Exclamation Transmission Swap Dilema HELP!

Hey all, heres the deal. I'm looking to get a S14 SE real soon, but the only ones for sale are auto. I have a 89 SE sittin in the yard with a 5sp transmission, but theres 190K on it. I was thinking, since I already have everything for a manual trans swap, would it be possible to transfer the 89 trans to the 95-98? Like are they exactly the same from 89-98? Also, in terms of the high mileage problem...What would be good to replace? I would replace clutch/flywheel, but anything besides that? Would the KA24E trans bolt right up to the KA24DE? Is this a good idea at all? Thanks for the input.

The trannys are the same but the sensors will be different. The s13 SOHC tranny has a 5th gear sensor only the s14 has 4th and 5th sensors. Other than that one other thing to look at would be clutch pedal hanging positions and make sure the s13 pedal will mount in the s14

As far as stuff to buy I would say change the master cyl and the slave cyl since they are old as hell.

Disclaimer- Since I do have a lot of experience w/ s13 tranny setup I don't have a lot w/ s14 setups so more things may need to be changed and or fabricated to get a propper fit on some components

The SOHC uses a larger flywheel... I think you'll run into some fitment issues.
