More fuct threads! Helicoil? plug n retap?
![]() found this while rippin apart my old KA. its the upper chain tensioner bolts.. Options: 1. run longer bolts (and pray they don't wiggle out) 2. Heliarc and retap (can have this done free at work) 3. get a new head. (most expensive option.. and dead time) Opinions? Please, just from those of you with some machining experience.

Yo brotha I have three ka heads laying around.. I'll give you one for like $20 but Im in socal. Yes dual cam and yes they worked fine I just need my garage cleaned

Weld them closed. Drill/retap. Or get a spare head.

Either heliarc and re-tap or get some threaded inserts. Helicoils suck balls, I don't use them unless I absolutely have to. I would personally go the threaded insert route. You'll never have that problem again with the inserts, where as with the welding and re-drilling and tapping there is a chance that it will happen again.
