Custom Plate Ideas?

Reg time is coming soon and i was thinking about making a plate. Any ideas?

To me choosing a plate is kind of a personal choice

i.e you should just choose what YOU want

Cause if someone else comes up with a plate and then you choose to do it, then eh what's the point of personalizing it for yourself

Personalized plates are up to you. Otherwise they wouldn't be personalized...

A lot of the plates I wanted to get are already taken

I would try not to do silly type plates

Try to do something more classic, that would last longer as time passes

Kinda like how you can't use the [email protected] address when you are 25 years old applying for a job

Funny note on this..Im from VA so I dunno how hard of a time dmv will give u where your from. Long story short I wanted to make a way of combining 240sx and exstacy together to put on a plate. I finally came up with a way, only for dmv to deny it saying it could be drug related. So basically I had to write a letter explainng it reperesents the joy of me owning my particular car and yada yada yada, and eventually they accepted. Only for no one to ever really get what my plates meant lol.

Thats the thing with personalized plates, gotta be catchy and easy to understand..otherwise you'll get people saying, "what do your plates mean/say". Trust me I know lol. Those plates were done away with, but I want personalized again

Another not so good idea is to put something that might give away something "not legal" in your car

i.e BOOSTN or something

or maybe something that might make a cop jump to conclusions about you like RACERR

Besides giving cops reason to be mean or assume, it also might give a thief an idea of what's going on

So if your plate says SR20PWR, then ummm thank you for putting a please steal my engine sign on your car

I've seen a couple plates on cars around town claiming they race. The word race or racing was part of their tags...I was like thats just asking to get pulled over if you get beside another modified car or cruisin local cruise spot

Anyway just thought of this. drifxtfx1 does that mean , "you not down"? If so it took me about a total of two secs to get what that meant, which imo is good lol. So what I'm getting at is... if you wanna play it safe and not risk annoying remarks like: that was dumb, what...I don't get it, or thats corny... try the following.

Come up with all the plates you can think of..and test a couple different people, (preferably non car enthusiasts) on how long it takes them to understand what each says. I say non car enthusiasts, if you want everyone to get it. If you just want people into cars to get it, just try your car buddies.

If takes longer than 4 secs..ditch it lol. Too complicated

I have been hooked on the "THE" series Plates.... i.e.: THE CHAD, THE EVAN, and THE BRAD. Lame i suppose but i've had mine since HS. My friends ditched theirs by now.
